That's a good joke 🤣
1
He's a criminal and a killer
1
The fact that it was not on purpose is why it is only 24 years. Otherwise he would have gotten a life sentence.
1
Yes
1
Being only 24 years is the second chance.
1
@hinata_381 Racing is not just a trivial offense, it's a serious crime because it is so dangerous. He knew exactly what he was doing is wrong and illegal and highly dangerous. He was intentionally putting innocent lives in danger. Racing is not an accident. It was a conscious and deliberate decision to put innocents in danger.
1
Let's say you shot randomly in the air and you hit someone. It doesn't matter if you didn't mean to hit any. You knew it can happen and you knew what you did is wrong.
1
He had several chances. He was pulled over many times for speeding. Those were his chances. Some people will never learn. And now he has killed two people and he must face the consequences of crimes.
1
He is not innocent. He is a criminal and a killer.
1
@viisii5012 No, I did not. To be fair I'm not American either. I'm German.
1
He's young, yes. But he killed two people. It's only 24 years because he's young. Otherwise it would have been a life sentence.
1
Good
1
He can't
1
There is a difference between wanting to race and actually doing it. Most 18 year olds aren't stupid enough to put innocents in danger by doing an illegal street race. He knew exactly what he was doing is wrong and illegal and highly dangerous. It was a conscious and deliberate decision to put innocent people in danger. Racing is not an accident.
1
 @chadhogue1012 I hope not.
1
@chadhogue1012 How many times do I have to tell you that racing is not an accident. They said it perfectly in the court "it was a crash, not an accident".
1
@chadhogue1012 Who cares about your friend. He is a criminal and a killer. He deserves every second of those 24 years in prison.
1
@chadhogue1012 If you can't do the time, don't do the crime. As simple as that. If he can't stand the punishment he shouldn't have committed that crime in the first place. He knew the consequences and how dangerous it is. He just didn't care about innocent bystanders. Two innocent people are dead and a family has been destroyed only because of his deliberate and reckless actions. 24 years are more than fair.
1
@chadhogue1012 That is contradicting. If he didn't want anyone to get hurt he shouldn't have driven like that. You can't race with a speed of over 100 mph through a residential area and then say you didn't mean to hurt anyone. That's bs. By doing an illegal and highly dangerous street race he accepted the possibility of killing someone. He brutally killed two innocent people. He deserves 24 years.
1
@chadhogue1012 Come on. He was racing with a speed of over 100 mph through a residential area. Racing is a serious crime because it is so dangerous. He knew exactly what he was doing is wrong and illegal and highly. When you drive like that you're pretty much asking for someone to get killed. By doing an illegal and highly dangerous street race he accepted the possibility of killing someone. They said it perfectly in the court "it was a crash, not an accident". He was intentionally putting innocent lives in danger and he knew the consequences. He deserves those 24 years in prison.
1
He killed two people
1
@policiacivil3867 That would encourage criminals to commit crimes when they know they can easily get away with anything. Prison is also supposed to be punished. Killing must have severe consequences.
1
It is justice. He knew exactly what he was doing. It was a conscience decision to race through a city. He knew this can happen and he still did it.
1
Racing is not a mistake.
1
He tried to appeal but it failed
1
We are definitely not with him
1
It's only 12 years per death. Not that long
1
@candy-hf9nn Yes. And furthermore. Racing is not an accident. It was a conscious and deliberate decision to put innocents in danger.
1
Of course not
1
That's barbaric and antiquated. I'm glad you're not in charge of anything
1
Racing is not just a trivial offense, it's a serious crime because it is so dangerous. He knew exactly what he was doing is wrong and illegal and highly dangerous. It was a conscious and deliberate decision to put innocents in danger. Racing is not an accident. He was intentionally putting innocent lives in danger. He deserves every second of those 24 years for killing two people. Again, racing is not an accident.
1
He's also in prison
1
The other guy didn't kill anyone.
1
Today 22
1
Racing is a conscious and deliberate decision. Racing is illegal and highly dangerous and not an accident.
1
 @AnasKhan-uz4rp it is right
1
You are delusional
1
@DiaJasin I would agree if we're talking about small things like a small amount of drugs or something like that. But he killed two innocent people. I think the punishment is appropriate.
1
Why? He brutally killed two innocent people
1
This was not just an accident. Racing is not just a trivial offense, it's a serious crime. He knew exactly what he was doing is wrong and illegal and highly dangerous. It was a conscious and deliberate decision to put innocents in danger. He knew exactly how dangerous it is. He was intentionally putting innocent lives in danger just to have some fun. A car is not a toy. When you drive like that that's not different than shooting a gun. And it wasn't his first time. He was pulled over many times for speeding. Some people will never learn. And now he willingly killed two people (even if it wasn't purpose, he knew the risks and dangers) and now he must face the consequences for his crimes. He killed two people and deserves every second of those 24 years. Racing is not an accident.
1
He brought this upon himself
1
No!
1
He deserves every second of those 24 years in prison. He is a criminal and a killer. And punishment is also a great part of the justice system. Killing must have consequences. You said there was no intent. That's also not true. He was racing on purpose. That was a deliberate and conscious decision to put innocents in danger. He knew exactly what he was doing is wrong, illegal and highly dangerous. He knew the dangers and risks and accepted them. And it's not a youthful crime. He was charged as an adult because he was an adult man who's fully responsible for his actions.
1
@briangilley5093 He intentionally put innocent lives in danger. He knew exactly what he was doing is wrong and illegal and highly dangerous. He knew the dangers and the consequences. He just didn't care about innocent bystanders. Having fun was more important to him. He accepted the possibility of killing someone when he decided to do an illegal and highly dangerous street race. He deserves every second of those 24 years in prison.
1
You know he has brutally killed a mother and a child, right?
1
The judge even went easy on him. The law demands a minimum sentence of 20 years and a maximum sentence of 30 years. 24 years are more than fair.
1
That's not how it works.
1
 @sarahb2731 I did not
1
What is wrong with you
