  3. It was not just an accident. Racing is not an accident. It was a conscious and deliberate decision to put innocents in danger. He knew exactly what he was doing is wrong and illegal and highly dangerous. He just didn't care about anyone else. He was intentionally putting innocent lives in danger. As they said in the court "it was crash, not an accident". When you drive like that you're pretty much asking for someone to get killed. He is not innocent. He is a criminal and a killer. He willingly killed two people. When he participated in an illegal street race and raced with over 100 mph through a residential he accepted the fact to eventually kill people.

That's the minimum time that he has to stay there. And even after that his parole can be denied depending on his behavior. In that case he has to complete the entire 24 years.
