  20. You made one mistake. You assume that they were socialists just because they had the word socialist in their name. This couldn't be more wrong. The name of a party doesn't mean anything. You have to look at their goals in order to understand them and not the name. In fact they hated socialism. Socialists were beside Jews the first group that the Nazis targeted. Anyone who had socialist ideas was imprisoned, killed or sent to a concentration camp. Being anti socialist is one of key characteristics of National Socialism. The Nazis were far right conservatives and capitalists.
