Having owned two Acuras before, I love the brand for its' performance, reliability and value. Great cars, imo. But Genesis isn't really competing with Japanese "premium" cars. Unlike Japanese brands, all of their vehicles are RWD and generally offer more features. They clearly have Euro brands in mind, except that they're far more reliable. Still, hard to go wrong with either of these fine machines.

@박동석-u7u I agree Genesis is certainly better. But Acura is definitely a premium brand. Not really a luxury brand. But they're not as expensive as luxury brands either.

@rahimi4762 This isn't a Hyundai. The RDX however, is a fancy CR-V. That doesn't mean it's bad! But you should get your facts straight.

Wrong. The Genesis doesn't share a platform with any Hyundai product, unlike the Acura. In fact it's the only mainstream lux brand that doesn't have any FWD platforms.

@AAhmad3449 I'm sorry you can't understand the fallacy of your statement. You really don't understand?? Genesis is made by Hyundai group. But you said it's a Hyundai that's been remade to be a Genesis. And that's simply not true. It's not based on any Hyundau model. The RDX however, started out life as a CR-V and became an Acura. It's not the same thing.

@tejasmurali9986 I agree. You certainly don't buy an Acura if you're interested in the most luxurious offering. But I still think they represent good value.

@rahimi4762 I can see you copied and pasted this response a lot here Rashaud. Having owned two Acuras before, I actually love the brand as being premium and reliable at a great price. But the Genesis isn't even concerned with Japanese "premium" cars. That's why all of their cars are RWD with real luxury features. They're targeting Europeans, except they're far more reliable.

@AAhmad3449 Yes, that's right. But that's not what you said. You said both are dressed up Hyundai and Honda models. That's wrong. The Acura is. The Genesis isn't. See the difference?
