  1. Since people actually live there, not sure why you'd say it's a waste? Songdo is one of many "satellite" new towns that are actually just extensions of Seoul metro area. They're definitely needed. Seoul is quite crowded and very expensive.

  2. I live in Korea's original "planned city". Changwon is a beautiful city and very easy to live in. I love it.

  3.  @TireSpare  Changwon does have a large industrial presence. But the neat thing is that it's separate from the commercial and residential areas of the city. It was planned that way. I've lived here for about 20 years. My favorite city in Korea.

  5. Songdo is fun to visit. But you won't want to stay there if it's your intention to see Seoul. Cheaper and much more convenient to just stay in Seoul.

  7. lol. Certainly Seoul has more amenities than other places in Korea. But what do you think people in Seoul do that others don't?

  10.  @sams8502  So, there's more to do in Seoul. It's not that there's nothing to do anywhere else. And there are unique experiences all over Korea. Like you said, New York has the most, but it doesn't have everything. Likewise for Seoul.
