It's worse. I've been evicted three times from places where I was always on time with my rent, never caused trouble and kept the place clean. Two wanted their homes back to sell and one wanted to move back into her house, to retire (was selling her larger home for the bigger payday). There's very little chance of being evicted from the home I now own. I pay my mortgage on time and there's no reason to think I'll ever have to deal with an imminent domain situation where I am. Renting was far worse than owning.
