And they sent the manufacturing jobs to Mexico anyway, and they did not even WANT to send the research and development jobs to Mexico. And it is the research and development jobs that Trump claimed to save.

It is places like Australia, where the regulations and taxation are relatively high, but the tax money is actually used to maintain the infrastructure and keep society cohesive, the result is that businesses can do business profitably because the customers have money and the infrastructure is well maintained.

If they moved research and development to mexico, they would not have any qualified people to do such work, who are familiar with Carrier's technology. To send manufacturing there is easy, it's process work, each job can be learned in  a few weeks. But the research and development? Those guys are not easy to replace.

  15. Fart Bart A) he is not worth nearly as much as he claims. B) he inherited a vast amount from his fathers and grandfathers crooked dealings. C) Yes, your perception in the marketplace is vital. That's why he did the Apprentice all that time, that's why all the self publicity. And even then, it fails, his casinos have gone bust, and he can't build buildings in his own name anymore, he licenses his name out to other companies to put on their towers. And many of these towers that aren't owned or run by Trump are trying to get out of the naming rights deal, because his name has turned to shit. And he can't build in New York anymore, too many tradespeople, suppliers and investors have been burned, so he has had to build in places like Canada, then places like Bahia Mexico and India, because every time he builds something in a new city, the industry gets so burned that nobody will work with him more than once.
