  1. Yep, after a certain point, there are diminishing returns on quality. There are only so many novelties and gimmicks like pumps and green bouncy goo that you can cram into these things....

Well, if you by shoes for $27.50, but they only last for a month, (and I have had shoes that price that have fallen apart that quickly) the $275 sports shoes would have to last 10 months to be cheaper than buying cheap shoes over and over (and most of the $275 shoes last for years) Plus the expensive ones are made from leather (therefore don't stink up the place after only a few wears). So it's not THAT foolish buying such shoes. But something in the vicinity of $60 or $70 will probably do.

  4. Actually, they are not made from the same stuff, you can feel by the weight and durability. Not all chinese footwear looks the same.

  5. actually, probably not, considering how many people TYT employs as opposed to how many people the luxury icecube place employs. And Cenk was saying that "hey if you can get them to buy such crap, go for it"... The richest simply can't SPEND their money, they can only eat so much food, they only have one asshole to wipe. And it is only when the POOR get the money that the money gets circulated, and THIS creates jobs far more than luxury ice cubes.

  6. But those designer shoes will NOT last. The rich don't wear the same pair of shoes every single day, so they do not NEED TO LAST. Same with high end designer dresses. Many of the richest only wear each designer dresses once, because to wear one designer dress to more than one party is considered poor form.

  7. $275 sports shoes last for years, and $1500 leather coats do too (and those coats are really necessary in the winter in certain climates, and you will wear them for years), whereas these ice cubes will melt before the ($15000 a bottle cognac) drink is gone.
