Well, certain guns were banned in Australia, and restrictions for other guns, and those massacres stopped, and no further gun regulations were required. The slippery slope stopped right there.

Or gun free zones like that parking lot in Arizona where 11 people got killed (more than are killed using guns in Japan for a whole year) and several people who were concealed carry holders were RIGHT THERE, and they did not use their guns to subdue him, but jumped on him and wrestled him to the ground when he tried to reload?

actually, it stops the possibility of it going further completely DEAD. Nobody is pushing for tightening Australia's gun laws, and few want to loosen them. You can still hunt, you can still go to rifle ranges, you need special licenses for weaponry, there is no slippery slope, Australia's gun laws have been like this for nearly two decades. The only reason for tightening gun laws is a high gun murder rate. When this problem is eliminated, there is no more reason to keep tightening them.

actually, the drug laws in Australia are not looser. They are tighter than California, Oregon and Washington.

The shootings STOPPED in Australia, the last one was 16 days before Australia instituted sweeping gun laws that banned semiautomatics. There were one every couple of years beforehand, but now, nearly 20 years later, not one mass shooting.

With America's high crime rate, with America's massive prison population, with America's mass murders every other week, you could probably learn a lot from this "penal colony".
