  1. The thing is, America created their nuclear bombs for 20 or 30 years without using ANY computers at all. They purified uranium AND plutonium, put it all together, and set it off with little more than vacuum tubes and mechanical devices. They did not even have TRANSISTORS until the 50s.

  2. @LFWOL Cyber war is already underway, but not between superpowers, not massively anyway... It is more between corporations and organised crime and hackers and so forth.

  3. @MilitantPeaceist It is all blowback. The US supports the wrong people, the wrong people get into power, then those people screw everybody, including their puppetmasters. The pattern is so predictable that it is a cliche.

  4. @WarMasterX6 The computers they had then were gigantic monstrosities that were only capable of running the simplest (but very very long) mathematical tasks, and not actually capable of doing things like running centrifuges. All they needed there, was some precise engineering.
