@dabestmkg Actually, I think that the idea of an infinite being somehow being created from nothing and THEN creating the universe in such a way that life was able to spawn is one more gigantic layer on the apparent absurdity that you have discribed.

@Asymmatrix Around here, they were saying the same about the Vietnamese 20 years ago. And they were saying it about the Italians and Greeks 50 years ago. And guess what, they assimilated. The only way they will NOT assimilate, is if they are excluded altogether from society, made to feel unwelcome by the majority. Moderates are to be encourage, and a wedge driven between them and the extremists. THAT is how to get them to assimilate, even if they keep their religion (which many don't).

@pyrmon24 We know a LOT about religion. That is why we are atheist. Because we know too much about religion to believe in it. Many of us know stuff that is in the bible that many christians do not know, or simply ignore.

@StrkrAce42 yes, but where did god come from? At least physicists can make educated guesses, Stephen Hawking pointed out that it was gravity that caused the Big Bang. But the theologists have NOTHING by the way of scientific theories.

@enforceOM It is mostly christians who wanted books burnt. Most of the atheists I know on youtube (apart from PatCondell) did not want to see them burned, because it would cause muslims to become more radicalised.
