@bobbytiger Except ACORN's name was ruined by people like Glenn Beck propagandising that they were behind scandles that they were the VICTIMS OF. Blackwater, on the other hand, keep on deliberately getting involved in scandals in which PEOPLE DIE.

@jaydubyuel A hitman will only kill the intended victim. A mercenary will deliberately make a situation far worse, in order to keep a war going.

@underbjorn and if there are no bidders, they will find some third world country and surround the parliament and take it over.Or take a whole city hostage for ransom. Or stage complex robberies. Remember the Diehard movies? That's the kind of thing mercenaries are capable of doing if they don't have a contract. Modern day privateers.

@SadisticSenpai61 However, the big brands are not selling either. There is only the memory of cigarette ads from long ago. The only advertising space ANY cigarette brand still has is on the packet itself, and now it is covered with pictures of cancer. Do I feel sorry for the less well known brands? Hellno, they are selling cancer. Which brand of cancer do you prefer? It's all the same, it's all painful early death.

@SadisticSenpai61 The problem is their reputation is JUST WHAT THEY ARE SELLING. They have a reputation for being brutal thugs who have no qualms against raping and pillaging and murdering innocent civilians, and that is JUST WHAT ALL THE TINPOT DICTATORS WANT.

@EBurwell America will be fighting wars directly with mercenaries within five years, hell, probably already have been. The only way mercenaries can keep up their profits is to make wars worse.

The hiring of mercenary firms such as Blackwater and Executive Outcomes must be one of the BIGGEST TACTICAL BLUNDERS OF HISTORY. They cost far more than regular soldiers,there is much less control over what they do, AND THEIR BEST BUSINESS PLAN IS TO MAKE THE WAR WORSE.Your average soldier wants to go HOME. THESE guys prefer battle, and if they can't get one, they will create one.
