@xxdonaldqxxx The looters would have wanted revenge, had even ONE of them been killed. The whole fucking RIOT was about a beating. Imagine how much worse it would have been had somebody gotten killed.

@christjewells A severely localised ban like LA is not going to work because they are freely available so close to the area in question. The biggest problem is the fetishisation of the guns in question. Getting people so worked up over their guns is causing people to be abnormally attached to these deadly inanimate objects, and obsess with them, and give them FAR too much importance. The result is, more violence.

@christjewells It will not stop them completely, but it WILL slow them down in their efforts to acquire them. What is FAR more dangerous is the rampant fetishisation of gun culture in America.
