  1. trentonx I think the Peace Prize thing was a way of trying to steer him in the right direction, towards less foreign intervention, a preemptive peace prize in the hopes of some kind of easing of US foreign policy (which under Bush was atrocious, both on a humanitarian and a tactical level).

  3. Plus the Pope has an actual chance to change peoples thinking, conservatives ACTUALLY listen to the Pope, if they are catholic. Or at least pay lip service. What Snowden leaked is not going to change anybody's minds.
