  1. Air traffic control HAS to be a monopoly, because if you have multiple companies all trying to control the same airspace, it siimply won't work... Having privately run, for profit air traffic control is just about the stupidest idea I have ever heard, especially with a nation like America where airspace is incredibly crowded...

Well, the thing is, the intended effect is the same for both, in the libertarian model, the state withers away, and the same with the Marxist model, except under the Marxist model that is an idle fantasy, while in the Libertarian model it is a hellish distopia where the richest become the government.
