@gsc512 in the end, and I do mean the end, if either Russia or NATO launched their nukes en masse, the world as we know it would end. Russia's dozen jet-launched (the only way they can reach hypersonic speeds) hypersonic missiles would have no noticeable impact on anything. They're pretty much irrelevant.
Of course, hypersonics are a threat to ships and that sort of target, which is why the USA is in testing phases of hypersonics of their own. Lagging behind Russia and China. On that front, but not for long.
If Russia loses control of the airspace, its hypersonics are neutralized. And NATO's biggest strength is its air force so that would happen relatively quickly, IMO.
I know, Russia has the world's best AA systems. Uhuh, we've seen that Ukraine. 😂🤣

I agree with a couple of your comments, mostly that the west has to get their act together, but the west won't let Russia win this. The Ukrainians, with limited western weapons, have significantly degraded Russia's military, and continue to do so. The west has used a fair chunk of certain weapons but virtually none of most of our stockpiles. We haven't lost any troops, heavy equipment, planes, helicopters, ships, etc... Nothing. The west can still decide to get more involved. If, for example, we flew in 200-300 F-15's for a week's worth of sorties, this war would be over. The black sea fleet hiding in the Azov sea would be gone, there'd be no Russian airbases left in Ukraine, no AA kit, the damage to the Russians would be immense. I think Pootin knows this, which is why he's not pushing as hard as he could. Russia can't win this. Question is, what will it take for NATO to put it's foot down?
