Poland is more ready than most NATO countries. And it doesn't stand alone. The triggering of Article 5 would quickly put an end to the western political nonsense. Things would get real quickly.

@peterfalk7084 I don't think the number or type of weapons we send increases the risk at all. Poo-Tin is either stopped in Ukraine now, or in Poland next year, or western Europe who knows when. We have to stop thinking of reasons NOT to assist Ukraine in every way possible.

@meziahdanieljolley8842 I hope the west increases support for Ukraine and continues to do so. Russia has no legal or moral right to be doing what they're doing. It's simply a genocidal war. If the west allows this, we're just as guilty as Russia is, and most of us cannot accept that.

@gray100 yes, well, the Kremlin is telling its people many things. Most of what they say is nonsense propaganda. Having said that, there are likely a few poles, some Americans, Brits, etc..., In the foreign legion. But that's totally different. Russians are being told they're fighting Poland and sometimes told they're saving Ukrainians from poles invading Ukraine. Basically, the Kremlin is pushing all sorts of garbage. My favorite is that Russia's fighting all of NATO! 😆😆 Oh, I dare them. I really do. They worry about the handful of HIMARS and not one NATO plane is there. They have no idea.

The invading army isn't in any way innocent and needs to be eliminated. That's what happens when a country invades another. Of course, they could just give up their country, their culture, their freedom and their future. Right? 😶

@dogemccoin8318 his approval rating figures are based on lies, just like everything else. Nothing coming out of the Russian government can be believed. Nothing but lies and propaganda. Most of his supporters like his "tough guy" stance (yes, I know so e of these supporters). Problem is, his tough guy stance is destroying Russia and its chances at a successful future. Such a resource rich country and its people are mostly poor. Oligarchs have nice yachts though. Or had? In the end, you can't have a valid election in a country where all who disagree with you are gagged and imprisoned. No competition must be very ... convenient.

Russians, apparently, are weak. They like to talk tough, usually referring to the old soviet army or nukes, but in reality, they're just weak and pathetic. Not all, of course, but a huge percentage. Just weak.

@jamespickens3086 there's a certain amount of propaganda on both sides. Fog of war. Outright lies as excuses for invading are not okay. An illegal invasion is an illegal invasion. Russia is not as strong as they pretend. Lots of old soviet equipment with the numbers being reduced daily with superior weapons and training. With a knee capped economy, on sanctions, good luck trying to keep up with the endless losses. No country can sustain this, it's impossible. Having thousands of decades-old tanks rotting in graveyards won't help much. Russia is weak and getting weaker by the day. It's past it expiry date.

@erics2305 this has nothing to do with NATO expansion. If so, why didn't Russia invade Finland yet? As far as the Donbas, it's all about the resources. If it was about the local people, why did Russian send them all to the front to die? It's most likely about the gas and oil resources in the Donbas. Crimea, I don't know enough about its history other than it's Ukrainian territory per legal borders. Russia had no valid excuse to invade. Interestingly, they're back to claiming it's to denazify and demilitarized. Which I would suggest Russia is doing to itself. Yes, it'll be costly, and I think the west will keep feeding Ukraine all the weapons they need to castrate Russia. It's a disgusting shame. On Russia. Geopolitically, Russia will never recover from this. North Korea 2.0.

@alasdairmmorrison74 at the start of the war, Russia. Sent all sorts of people to the front. Many of those were military trainers. Those "people" are generally no longer able to train anymore either because they suffer from rigor or are in wheel chairs. Why do you think they keep sending more conscripts to the front. They don't call it a meat grinder for nothing. We need to send more weapons and ammo to Ukraine.

@erics2305 it's not up to Russia to decide whether Ukraine joins NATO or not. If they're that paranoid,maybe they should inwards? As far as the east of Ukraine and the elections. The election was shown to be a sham and the people weren't about to watch Russia install another puppet. The orange revolution was a fight by the people who demanded a real election. Yes, Russia meddled in eastern Ukraine. That's their MO. Cause trouble, much like in Moldova and many places around the world. At any rate, their claims were mostly fabricated. I say let the ICC consider their claims. But Russia is unable to make a case, so they resort to war. Standard behavior for them. Russia can bring another 500,000 but it won't help. Ukraine will get all the help they need and the Russians will be pushed back. They have to, otherwise world stability will forever be crushed. We don't need to agree. My opinion is that Russia will be decimated militarily. They're already well on their way. How do I know? They're resorting to targeting civilians, civilian infrastructure, and threatening nukes again. All signs of a weak military. Russia should leave Ukraine while they still have a military. They think the west is weak. I say, let's find out....

Russia NEVER planned on negotiating anything. They've been setting up the chaos in the east for years. Pootin wants a puppet government in Ukraine just like in Belarus. People didn't believe in the Kherson counter-offensive either. Yet the map shows that the rumors were true. Question is, where's the next big push? I say Melitopol's next. Only makes sense. Divide the Russians and cut the supply lines to eastern Kherson oblast. One thing's for sure, it's going to get interesting soon.

Still saving all your best equipment for later??? If the Russian military was so strong it wouldn't resort to bombing civilians and their infrastructure. Desperation. Last count, Russia has lost over 16,000 military vehicles and nearly 100,000 dead "soldiers". No country can sustain that. Russia depended on old stockpiles of Soviet equipment and ammunition. Some being from the 50's and 60's. Seriously, quit trying to impress us with you fairytale army. Go home while you still can.

The Ukrainians are already taking out Russian air defenses with western HARM missiles. Russia has done the world a favor by showing us that their world leading air defenses are ... not. Gripens, F-16's, whatever, we need to send them. The Ukrainians have proven they can handle anything we send them. We need do truly commit to winning this thing.
