  1. Rubbish.The three top institutional shareholders in HSBC are all US based. The original company was founded by a Scotsman working for P & O Steam Navigation Company in 1865 in Hong Kong.

  2. The luxury that Corporations and the very rich have is that they can be based anywhere they choose. If countries don't offer incentives for them they will simply move taking their wealth and all the jobs they provide with them.
