  2.  @joprocter4573  Wrong, HSBC never received a bailed out. Quite the opposite, the then Chief Executive spoke out against government bailouts. As they pay my pension I take a very keen interest.

  5. Why would a top banker want to be UK based when they can earn so much more elsewhere. If you want the very best people you have to pay for them. Few are paid as much as a Premier Division Division footballer, yet no one criticises them ?

  6. Which why they are better operated as 2 separate businesses. Very few UK banks actually needed a government bailout. The UK's biggest bank HSBC didn't.
