Exactly - it's an unfortunate part of human nature to pick on "the other" - I lived as a white kid in a mostly Samoan and Tongan neighborhood when I was a kid - I was regularly subjected to racist abuse - but the Tongans also abused the Samoans, and the Samoans abused the Tongans too. Human nature.

  3. I loved her comment saying cricket is expensive to get into... you can literally pick up a cricket set from the store here for $50NZD - that's less than 25 pounds. Sure it's a shit set, but it's enough to get you started and find out if you are interested in it. I was dirt poor growing up - we always had a cricket bat and some balls to knock around. Every school I ever went to, even the poor ones, had wickets, bats, balls, pads and a big enough field to play on. I can't tell you why it's not super popular with people of African decent - but as a kid all my Indian mates were mad on it - and some of them were extremely dark skinned - so I don't think it has anything to do with skin pigmentation...

  4.  @ffswhatisitNOW  Indeed, she has no idea what she is talking about - her parents were wealthy, not working multiple jobs like actual working class people have to do to survive - I'm sure her Mum and Dad saw her talent and did everything they could to encourage it, using the luxuries that time and money afforded them to do so. She's just young and indoctrinated into the current victim zeitgeist.

  5. Straight off the bat, pun intended - her comments on cricket being a rich white person sport show her internal cognitive bias. Look at the top 10 teams in the word cricket rankings right now and tell me only rich white people play cricket! I mean, it's literally the national sport of Jamaica FFS!

  7. You shouldn't feel embarrassed, nobody should associate you with this entitled child just because you both share similar skin pigmentation. Anyone that does associate you with her for those reasons - well that is real racism - not what she's on about.

Oh yeah, Cricket is definitely one of those sports only rich white people play... that's why it's so unpopular in poorer countries with few white people, like India, Pakestan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, South Africa... oh wait, all those teams are in the top 10 in the world... hmm, she might have to rethink her paradigm I think...

  9. Yes, never understood that older people aren't included in advertising more - I have two very wealthy aunts in their 70's - they have piles of disposable money yet nobody is trying to get it except scammers.
