  2.  @MatthewMcilwain123  That'll be because you are mostly working on cars with factory warranties. A guy brings his blown engine in out of warranty and the service manager gives him an estimate on repairs, he goes to an independent shop or gets rid of the car, because nobody is paying dealer rates to repair a blown Mercedes engine out of warranty given how worthless they are used these days.
