I had a 30 year old Triumph many years ago I had to replace the handbrake assembly on because the ratcheting system was worn out and the hand brake wouldn't stay on by itself any more - the old one was warn into smooth humps. Mind you it was made by BL, so was probably the cheapest, nastiest junk metal they could find.

  2. Ian Harrison that particular model was a dolomite 1850. Also had a sprint at the same time. After that I lost my masochistic tendency and went Japanese lol!
