Too true. Too many of us have been jerked around by monster employers.

What I've been saying for the past 5 years. Great to see others thinking the same way.

Ditto, graduated with honours. As of this week, the energy company owes me over £600. It was a cold hard winter. I did my bit to keep the energy billionaires from getting richer off me.

Who has a spare £1200 for anything these days??

News report today that they're working on ways to release 50K prisoners to fill those jobs. The critique was that only 1 in 5 cons go straight.

@Sir-Robalon Sounds like an ischaemic stroke you had? Not sure it would be so 'easy' with a haemorrhagic stroke...

sack every MP currently in Parliament. Ban all of them from ever standing for any elected office again. Erase all political parties that have been elected over the last 50years. Start fresh with genuine ordinary people who actually want to help the people of their country. Sorted.

@turokforever007 How can they work if they can't speak/read/write English to a minimally functional level??

Marie Antoinette is just who came to mind as Neil quoted Hughy boy.

Yep. The problem isn't lack of money. The problem is unfettered greed. Greed amongst the Hughy types and their shareholders.

Though Prof. Jennifer Freyd developed the DARVO model to describe Institutional Betrayal. Obviously, it more or less describes every other form of abuse. All abusers lie, manipulate, intimidate and can easily justify any of their wrongdoing. DARVO certainly describes leaders' modus operandi now.

@Jardani Jovonovich Yes,definitely. I've been keeping house for more decades than I care to remember, never seen so much rapid spoilage in my fridge. Perhaps because most of it's being stockpiled at near freezing and being brought out when it's more profitable?
2
Wholly agree.

I commiserate with all here. I'm in a similar boat. Injured already before pandemic by 'healthcare'. i'm so surprised Neil didn't mention the NHS's major role in all this sickness/disability. Are we really still singing its praises! Waiting lists were growing and growing long before the pandemic, mental health services were dire before the pandemic. Now the wait is escalating exponentially as staff take early retirement (who can blame them?) and apparently MH services aren't fit for purpose now that so many people are suffering post-pandemic crash.

That would be fine if you wanted to entrench a lawless underclass whose members sweep through supermarkets filching all they can without consequences, and robbing homes en mass as in the US now. Too many unskilled people is a direct consequence of gvt taking money out of college education and training to fund the Bush Middle East excursions. I was there. I saw education collapse within months. That sector has never recovered.
