Mayor Adams called it - a manufactured crisis. Kudos to him for conceding that he was wrong. Can he please come to the UK and tell out crisis-manufacturing politicians to stop letting young men in boats land here? We have up to 8000 a month. Every month. Costs taxpayers £7 MILLION every day.

@Demonsouls1993 It takes a big man to admit he was wrong, in full glare of the public eye. I suggest that he comes to the UK to tell our politicians to see the sense he's acquired, not to run the country!

@GeoffInfield I agree with you. It's utterly irresponsible and callous to put people at risk. I'm particularly sickened that politicians are luring them over to make them work for peanuts for the rest of their lives. If they stick it out, their children or more likely their grandchildren might benefit. But by then it wouldn't be the country that their grandfather came to....
