  2. Oh yes! I've had that sort of experience - the woman's knowledge of English/American vernacular was wonderful. My son so appreciated knowing Russian teen slang! (It also happens in the UK too. They're all at this 'soft' and very polite interrogation).

  3. I believe they are. But they all seem to deviate from the long-established body of factual knowledge that we learnt. There's even a US Ivy League university's project to, quite literally, debunk maths. I read a paper a few months ago which made that case, in all seriousness, that 2+2=5.
