@lanxy2398 From the urbanistic perspective Cayala has the problem of being sorrunded by the Guatemalan caos. Up to a certain point you can find most of your needs within it but sooner or later you will need to get our of it and it will take you hours to get back. If you happen to work out of it then your quality of life is ruined. As expensive as it is you better live elsewhere. It is actually too small to allow you not to leave it daily.
1
@MrBrandoxxxx I agree on most points that you are making. I am actually surprised how marketing make people say that Cayala is magic and unique but when you get there something just don't match. It is to small to actually take you out of the city caos. If you want to go there to have dinner or coffee prepare to drive for hours in and out.
1
@Bando-fx4mf This has little to do with the intention of the video.
1
That is a big neigborhood, not a city. Less than 15 hectaries can't be considered a city.
1
@Tijaxtolan I am hardly an expert but visiting Cayala I found certain lack of taste on it. Like it was supposed to have it but when you are there it can't be found or felt. It's like architecture with makeup.
1
@Bando-fx4mf it is not even a city, it's a neighborhood only
1
@myworld4257 none of the top rich people live there.
1
@lisa-zq4ky sin embargo la gente se queja todo el tiempo de la ciudad. Se ve bien mientras no vivas en ella. Cuando uno vive en otras ciudades te das cuenta que parece agradable pero no lo es.

@exchangAscribe the place may seem desirable until you actually live there. It may be a hang out but not a nice place to live. Lacks the authenticity that you can find in Antigua for instance. It's like a replica of a Ferrari.
1
@exchangAscribe Your comment is nonsense: 1. You don't know if I ever lived there 2. I did not mentioned cars at all. 3. You are claiming something about "every single city" without giving examples or any verifiable data. 4. You don't know what I meant because of your ignorance. Faccades don't have the same effect that the actual kind of design. Something that only looks like sugar will never taste like sugar. 5. You just expose yourself as someone that can't tell the difference about something authentic and something fake. Faccades are bad but you can't tell the difference because you lack knowledge, taste and understanding. Keep enjoying fake stuff 🤦♂

@exchangAscribe Your comment is nonsense because : 1. You don't know where I lived or if ever lived in Kayala 2. I never mentioned cars at all. 3. You are giving empty information about people being happy but not mentioning continent, country or city. It can be in another planet 4. You clearly don't know what I mean because don't have the slightest idea of architecture or taste. 5. No, faccades fool foolish people only, but they can't ever replace something real and authentic with fake "look alike" designs or constructions. You shouldn't have exposed yourself as someone very ignorant, with no understanding on the subject or good taste.

@exchangAscribe I haven't insulted you at all. You are feeling offended because your comments prove that you can't see the difference between faccades and authentic designs with art and quality. No wonder you can't understand what I ment with that. That is not an insult, it's just a statement of facts about your limited knowledge and understanding. I don't know if it might be worth it but you should give it a try to study a little bit about classic architectural designs. Not everyone has the level to understand them but who knows.
1
@exchangAscribe You feel insulted because its true. Saying that faccades are the same as high quality designs are the same is ignorant. Why would I by complementing you ? Exposing your lack of understanding and deep ignorance is not insulting you. You don't have any points, you just discovered how ignorant you actually are and now want to back up.

@exchangAscribe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C912VrH7PjA This video shows people from New York explaining exactly what I am saying about Cayala. It feels like one of the Disney world amusement parks because of its lack of authenticity.
1
@exchangAscribe So your reaction is to attack the youtubers instead of reacting on what they are saying about the impression that Cayala gives them. Antigua has authentic architecture and Cayala has the faccade that you mentioned to pretend to look like quality of architecture without actually have it. To say that Cayala is like a city in one of Disney's amusement park is 100% accurate. It is not about being old or new, it's about having character and concept, not just a faccade about having it. If you are ugly and wear a mask you will remain being ugly and no one will buy that you are beautiful but just someone pretending to be something. Cayala is not historic, and never will be. As they said on the video, in Lima there is a place that looks a lot like Cayala, but you can't find a place that look like Antigua anywhere else because it is for real, not a "look a like" like Cayala.
1
You can't debate. Your knowledge about this matter is not enough to actually exchange ideas. You also lack the taste and understanding to respond something worthy. @exchangAscribe
1
@exchangAscribe You can take the horse to the river but you can´t make it drink. I never insulted you but you felt insulted becase just found out that what I say it's true. The faccades fooled you. You love faccades because your taste can't see the difference.
1
Seems to be a desirable place until you actually live there. It's like the TV ad hamburger. Not the real thing.
1
@ni9274 which cities are those ??
1
@okokokokokok8050 that have been tried already with ugly results.
1
14 hectaries can't take for "everybody" to live there. The design was made to take up a limited amount of people and provide certain selectivity to the comunity. Check out Santa Maria in Panama City that has a quite similar size and provides higher quality of life, higher level of security and better investment return.
1
@189Blake I agree. When someone in the video claims that it looks as if it has always being there it makes me flinch. It seems somehow superposed, a little bit like a Walt Disney city.
1
Cayala in Guatemala and Santa Maria in Panamá have almost the same size. Kayaka has 14 + hectaries and Santa Maria has about 16. The difference in quality of design, construction and space efficiency is immense. Santa Maria offers better quality of life, better housing and that is traducing into higher profit for the building companies.
