Plasma Kinetics has a technology whereby they capture green hydrogen onto a film/disk, which makes fantastic STABLE 'battery storage'. there's no pressure, no freezing temps involved and wont need the infrastructure of hydrogen stations. they can be stored in normal shipping containers and simply exchanged, much like we used to do with superser gas bottles int he 80's. Electricity/fuel is generated when the disk/film is 'read' by the lazer, much like a CD. It is lighter, 100% green n recycleable and CHEAPER than the alternatives, esp due to lack of infrastructure needed to roll it out. E for Electricity YT channel did a good interview with the creator. USA halted their R&D until recently because the technology was considered to be 'too disruptive' i.e. too good that it would out-compete other companies. The beauty is,this ONE technology is better being more efficient and cheaper than lithium battery storage, 100% recyclable, long lifespan/recharges. comes in many sizes and scalable. suitable for long distance haulage, air travel, shipping, off-grid, EV's etc etc

Edit; It has no risk of combustion, so inherently SAFER than other forms of green hydrogen, because it is in a solid state, not gas

@andrewadams9924 i wouldnt be surprised to learn that that is partially deliberate :'( But i suspect there's many well-meaning folk who still have a colonialist outlook and just dont think about such things, even when its their job to. Re land and solar, in USA alot of farmers are putting their solar farms up on 'stilts' so that tractors can drive underneath. It's automated such that plants still get the light they need, and has led to reduced water use, due to the shadier conditions. Plants get what they need n the extra goes into the panels

@markg5928 hydrogen is 'magnetically attracted' to oxygen one might say. ALL it wants to do it form water with oxygen. It is by taking advantage of this strong 'desire' to re-join oxygen that plasma kinetics' way of producing electricity works. check out the E for Energy video on it n you'll get a better idea of the process with all the science explained properly you ask 'how would we breathe if all the oxygen is used?' we dont breathe oxygen that comes from water (else we wouldnt have a need for snorkels and scuba diving gear), we breathe oxygen that is in the air, which comes from plants when they take in carbon dioxide n release the oxygen into the air Using hydrogen as a fuel source wont affect the amount of oxygen in the air available for us to breathe. when oxygen and hydrogen forms a bond, it turns into water, which falls from the air into rivers and lakes etc. However, carbon that is released into the air (and other pollutants) DO reduce our capacity for breathing in clean oxygen. When the hydrogen is taken from the oxygen during electrolysis, the oxygen molecule doesnt get collected and stored to later combine with the hydrogen. so there's no reduction of oxygen in the air due to this process Even if i was wrong, the re-greening of the planet which we need to do ANYWAY would mitigate this.

Is there a way to extract hydrogen from the air i wonder? Im aware that there's a tech which is making drinking water out of air, that worked in some really hot close to desert village. i dunno if its on the market as yet. But even so, there's dehumidifier tech. the water wouldnt have to START drinkable. also, im wondering if you could get water from desalination processes. I also imagine you live in a hot sunny country, so solar would be the intial focus n way of doing all this Im just speculating though

@andrewadams9924 you can thank USA farmers n the camera crew who created the vid i saw. Apparently it makes a nice 2nd income for them. The lack of reliable weather some of them have had of late meant they were financially struggling because of reduced crop yield

@hc3657 YOu DO realise that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit? i was talking about those machines that pull drinkable water from the air even in desert environments nor does it rain 'all over the world every day' There's already water 'resource wars' and other parts of the world have increasingly unreliable rain patterns. Floods are just as dire re farming n drinking as droughts, they increase disease for example. Machines such as i talk about would give water security in many different environments n situations. It would enable people to be less tied to water company monopolies too n for god's sake, it doesnt even rain every day in the uk -.-

@hc3657 im talking about machines (can be renewable supplied) that literally pull water out of the desert air, suitable for immediate drinking n i would guess scaleable for irrigation, albeit expensive atm. Think along dehumidifier lines but water from those needs cleaning

@hc3657 places like australia imo should b investing into desalination plants more Ur country is guna get drier n hotter n more bushfires Best option is to relocate vrs rely on fallable infrastructure, but thats not an option for everyone

@hc3657 its been tested in the sahara desert^ yes, expensive, currently. but as with ANY tech prices drop with uptake and improved R&D maybe not useful for agricultural irrigation on a large scale, but family run plots and human/animal consumption it would be worth adapting EVEN uk is going to be short of clean water in the future according to todays UK CCC conference video on infrastructure, as the heated air becomes more humid yet rain patterns change to being unpredictable in both 2c and 4c futures, the only difference being severity and uk is going to have one of the better futures with more deluges when it does rain, yet also more drought conditions (as long as the gulf stream doesnt stop due to acidification, which would be even worse scenario n not accounted for in IPCC to my knowledge)

@hc3657 desalination plants = drinkable water, not hydrogen fuel to my knowledge hydrogen fuel, esp plasma kinetics tech is both energy storage and fuel, 100% renewable and recycleable with that tech

@hc3657 I have been very patient with you until now ... you have the AUDACITY to tell me what i was talking about INITIALLY to andrew before you stuck ur oar in?! :O i was talking about machines which capture moisture from the air into drinkable clean water as demonstrated in the sahara desert, full stop! i NEVER took the conversation into the direction of hydrogen as fuel/energy storage YOU did^^, (but i did recommend interested parties take a gander at plasma kinetics as a side note) so dont u DARE start talking to me as if IM the one who's dumb, when YOU cant even keep the topic of conversation straight in the FIRST place NOR did i counter you re hydro storage being a closed system etc your reading comprehension SUX n frankly, i wonder what on earth your excuse is when im on disability because i have brain inflammation n brainfog n yet STILL do better than you at knowing who im talking to AND which topic^
