  1. This is remarkable. The RMB hasn't been this low vs the USD in over a decade (since 2010). The Yuan was historically always improving vs other currencies 💷, including the dollar💵

  2. I think you're getting the Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan confused,  @MeiinUK . The Yuan and the RMB are one currency. Taiwan currently uses the New Taiwan dollar and Hong Kong uses the Hong Kong dollar. The Chinese Yuan is different between the Chinese RMB Yuan and the Offshore Chinese RMB Yuan.

  3. Naw, that was 15% inflation. It made its mark but just not as people would generally expect such major inflation to leave a mark.
