The US is still the most powerful place by far (especially in Ukraine), and if the US government wished to assist Gonzalo Lira in his personal fight for freedom, they would've done so successfully in a heartbeat. The US government is enjoying seeing Gonzalo Lira suffereíng persecution. 18:33 'A telephone call to the state department, and Gonzalo Lira would've been on an aeroplane to NYC that same day'.
