@nvil82395 Psychologically, in fact there is. It's called a backchannel--listeners dropping periodic signals to acknowledge that they are paying attention. Most people make those sounds while listening, and periodically pause to invite them while speaking, without being consciously aware of either. (Mind you, listeners usually achieve a bit more variety in those signals than Ian does in this video, but hey, man's got other things on his mind. :)
