  1. Interesting. With a rate of fire that slow, what was the actual advantage of full auto for these in the first place? I mean, at four rounds per second, it seems like someone with a little experience could fire it just as fast in semiauto mode. At that point you're basically just saving the gunner some trigger finger fatigue. :) Regardless, having seen this, I shall refrain from slandering the poor Chauchat in conversations about WWI in the future.
