  2. Anyone capable of critical thought would look at the evidence for and against the lunar landings, and see that the evidence for Apollo is solid, while the evidence that shows the landings were faked is nonexistent.

  12. No, we are watching footage made on the moon. We can measure how objects move in the video, and we find they are in 1/6 g gravity, not the 1 g we have on Earth. It is impossible to replicate those videos on Earth.

  18.  @StrangerTurk  We can prove they weren’t. Astronomers watched the spacecraft on their way to the moon. A studio can’t fake that. Radio engineers received Apollo radio signals directly form the moon. Studios can’t fake that. Studios can’t fake the 1/6 g we see in the Apollo videos either. They can’t fake the photos taken of the Apollo landing sites by spacecraft from India and China either. Your argument falls apart.

  39. A base is used because a. the Saturn V weighs 3000 tons, so it needs solid ground to stand on, and b. we need access to various points on the Saturn V during preparations for launch. The LM didn’t need a base: the astronauts could reach their cabin via a ladder, and there was no external personnel to work on the LM so all preparation on the LM had to be done before launching it from Earth. The LM also was light enough to land on unprepared ground.
