The air resistance at low altitude is too much so unlikely that they'll go hypersonic for long

And how incompetent the Saudi army is

Nuclear hypersonics will make the world a thing of the past

@7ebr830 you don't understand politics
1
@7ebr830 no country does war for fun. They do it because it's politically necessary
1
@7ebr830 yeah but Iraq switched away from the dollar and wasn't allowing us politics so it needed to be attacked Lybia didn't follow us orders either . Kaddafi needed to be removed. Syria the same . Also they have to blame themselves for starting a civil war Ukraine was attacked and is a good inexpensive way to make Russia bleed money . Those who don't wage war abroad will face the fate the Chinese faced in the 19th century . Someone else who is willing will attack I live less than 70km away from russian bases . My country in the past 20 years has been involved in 7 wars .

USA has NORAD and thaad and patriot

Doubt that hypersonics can realisably take out carriers
1
Doubt they are that practical . Idk if hypersonics can get enough precision and accuracy to reliably hit ships
1
@yaz2928 planes and ships are way too hard to hit .
1
@yaz2928 physics disagrees but ok
1
StatikTiger something going Mach 5 can't trun well so if it's detected early the ship will only have to move slightly Imagine a car is coming at you full speed in an open field sure you can't out run the car but if you move at the last second the car can't turn fast enough to hit you
1
@aidegrod It won't be black for some radar frequencies . You can just put an ir scanner on a plane and look for the missiles that way
1
Plasma does absorb some radar frequencies but tbh they could probably still be tracked by very low frequency radar and satellites
1
@rasmysamy2145 satellites are need to keep track of them not really to destroy them
1
@KatiePhongh depends
1
@rasmysamy2145 even a loose approximation is good enough . You could get the missile close enough so that it can navigate on its own
1
@rasmysamy2145 hypersonics aren't agile enough to make sharp truns so when you detect them if they're close enough chances are that they can be intercepted
1
@rasmysamy2145 sharpen would work tho . Going at Mach 7 hitting something as small as a bolt could knock out a system and damage the missile . You just need to detonate earlier Without making sharp truns I doubt those missiles can realisably avoid interception and by making sharp turns they'd be bleeding speed.
