  14.  @ilovesteveclark6084  They weren't locked in. The waist high gates weren't locked, they were guarded by crewmen. As soon as 1st and 2nd class passengers went up to the boat deck, the 3rd class passengers were allowed to go up as well. But by then, all of the lifeboats had left the ship.

Especially in India and South Africa, where her loving subjects gave her gifts of diamonds, emeralds, rubies, and many other precious jewels. Actually only about 5% of the population was Catholic. England was finished with the Catholic king and queen dictators. Mary I was dead, Mary Stuart was chopped, Charles I was chopped, and James II, a.k.a. Dismal Jimmy, was deposed. The tyranny of the Catholic rulers was over. And Protestant England and Scotland were free.
