@johnsbackwithcommonsense7628 You know what else is just water vapour? Clouds. Your question is like asking me 'why do clouds hang around?' I'll Make it as simple as possible to understand. Water on earth evaporates with heat and releases into the atmosphere forming clouds that eventually rains. There is moisture in the air. We know this as humidity. Planes fly through this moisture and heat friction and the heat from their engines evaporates some moisture quickly and is basically creating cloud trails behind it as it goes. It's that simple
