Actually he wants ammunition. The US has plenty of that. And the US has plenty passed its use by date and planned for destruction that they can give to Ukraine instead.

@vickiroman189 Wrong. Aid to Ukraine is simply 3.6% of the defence budget. The money is already spent on the ammunition the US is providing.

@vickiroman189 Wrong. Every year the US not only manufactures weapons but it also destroys billions of dollars in weaponry. This is because the US remain at the forefront with new equipment and the latest technology. The majority of the weapons supplied to Ukraine were paid for in the defence budget decades ago and are slated for destruction in a short time period. Combine this with the fact that the US is in no active war, ukraine is actually helping with the US weapon decommissioning that naturally occurs anyway.
