@vernonbowling5310 And the constitution provides the right to vote in the 14th, the 19th and the 26th. Democracy

A republic is a democracy

A republic (from Latin res publica 'public affair') is a form of government in which "supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives". In republics, the country is considered a "public matter", not the private concern or property of the rulers. The primary positions of power within a republic are attained through DEMOCRACY!!!

@And nothing else happened They don't write the word, but the right to vote is enshrined in the 14th, the 19th and the 26th. That's the democracy.

@AmericanMAGAPatriot Isn't it funny though. You guys who have always been calling the left commies. You are the actual bonafide commies. You hate democracy. All you want is to install your leader. And you don't care how it's done. It's no surprise all the putin love comes from people with usernames like yourself. You have become what your grandads fought against. You have labelled social democracy as bad, when the entire first world knows it's the way to be. And you have instead chose national socialism. Which is how Hitler, Putin, KimJong il etc run their shows. You want Trump to join them against the will of the people. It's full masks off with you lot now. You aren't even pretending you aren't what you are anymore.

@CanImperator Not when the constitution of the republic guarantees elections via the will of the people. That's a democratic republic. Also known as a democracy.

@CanImperator No North Korea is a dictatorship. They don't have elections. They have a political census/sham election. The ruling party puts one name on a ballot and a yes or no box. Voting against the official candidate, or refusing to vote at all, is considered an act of treason, and those who do face the loss of their jobs and housing, along with extra surveillance.

@CanImperator and in the republic of the US the leaders are elected via a vote of the people. That's a democracy.
