@Geonova74 Everyone from the inner city to far flung rural areas watch the ABC. And everyone from 2 years old to 102 years old. Conservatives and progressives. Unlike Skynews. Which has almost no diversity in its audience. Maybe Skynews should stop getting its government assistance packages. Especially since Murdoch pays no tax and takes all the profits out of Australia.

@doccarter5283 There used to be a lot of places in Australia where they got the ABC and maybe one or two other channels if they were lucky. And the radio stations were ABC mostly as well. You can safely say most people who lived outside of a capital city had a steady ABC diet pre internet.

Australia is a racist country. I know it is. I’m a 39 year old white man that lives here. Pretty much everyone in my family older than me is racist. At least half of my friends in my life are racists. It’s getting less and less racist every year though. But the boomers are still alive and pretty much the majority of them are racist. You only have to read any Skynews comment section to see racism is alive and well in Australia.

@birgittabirgersdatter8082 I’ve been purposefully narrowing my circle of friends. Im no longer interested in being amicable with racists, homophobes, transphobes and misogynists. So I’ve been deleting contacts actually.
