  1. See this is the problem. When this topic comes up. Conservatives always put the emphasis on women protecting themselves. Which I agree with. But the main issue is not that women should protect themselves. The main issue is that there needs to be a major cultural shift to stamp out toxic masculinity that enables this crap to happen. Conservatives won’t touch it. Blame the perpetrators without victim blaming. Come down hard on the men without sullying the issue by fault blaming and saying crap like “oh men get beaten too”. I’m a man. I’ve spent my life with other men. I know how misogynistic and predatory men can be. Stop defending by changing the subject.
