The extreme left and the extreme right are all lying to the extremes but facts are facts. We need to act. It seems to be celebrated here that China and the US are basically free to ignore all climate concern now. The two countries that pollute and affect us the most. Dangerous precedent being set here. The US has regressed. The government is full of Christian tea party dinosaurs now as part of the Trump/republican agreement. In 50 years in a more science based, less religious culture, we won’t believe people actually denied climate change. It is mostly people with their Gods who despise science as science has ruined their fluffy little existence. They deny climate change for their own selfish and delusional reasons. That’s why climate change skepticism is popular here. Sky news viewers are mostly religious baby boomers and older. Too old to be that dumb in my opinion.

  8. kubel83 The Sahara desert was caused by tectonic activity. No one did it. And it’s been a desert for at least 7 million years. It wasn’t a rapid drastic change. It was a gradual drastic change.

I agree however that our population is rising faster than our technology to cope with the strain. More people. More resources used . More pollution. More urban sprawl. Less flora and more CO2. This whole ‘climate crisis’ is based off one thing. Global science agreeing that we will see a 1.5 deg temp rise by 2100 unless we cut CO2 emissions by 45%. By 2100. The population will be 12-14 billion. Due to mathematical compounding. Scientists in 100yrs may be telling us to cut CO2 emissions by 45% or we will see a 4deg temp rise by 2200. That would destroy almost all sustainable agriculture in Earth. So the world isn’t ending. But it can get very difficult.
