Not true. Tibet did invade India, Bengal region to be precise, but got converted to Buddhism as a result. 😀

@shubhamkumar6689 well, Tibetans were never a Chinese people. For China, India is the West, NOT South. China got exposed to Buddhism through the Silk route. 10/11th century Tibetans invasion in Buddhist headquater of the world, Greater Bengal changed all that for Tibetans. Even the script, Tibetan script is Eastern Nagari script - proto Bengali/Maithali script, not some primitive cuniform script of China.

@shubhamkumar6689 no. Tibetan Buddhism is not the same as then one practiced by China. It has tantric elements that is closer to the state of Buddhism in Greater Bengal at that time. Ever head of Atisha Dipankara. There were couple of other such men responsible for Buddhism in Tibet.
