A Republic is a social contract between a free individual called a citizen and the State.
.
The state is all powerful, power is needed to protect the individual rights of any specific individuals. But chained, not to get into the private spaces of an individual. The existence of the state is non negotiable.
.
There is nothing else - ideologies, dogmas, community, ethnic groups, religious groups, political groups, cults, football fans, income tax payers, farmers, men or women.
.
Religions have no rights. You cannot create another religion with its own civil and criminal laws also.
.
All primitive laws, marketed as some kind of divine laws or revealed laws are illegal in a Republic.
.
All laws, civil, criminal and military ate are man made laws in a Republic, all subjected to revisions and amendments.
.
Absolutely non negotiable freedom of speech and expression is fundamental in a Republic. Slander, propaganda and marketing of violence against other individuals and the State are the exception.
.
No ideology, religions or cults or whatever has any rights in a Republic. Period.
.
Religion/faith is an accetable superstition people do in the privacy of their private-spaces, provided it does not violate the laws of the Republic
