Most kids will be planning to leave after 4 years, with discipline, money in hand, team spirit, and love for their country. And ready to pick up arm and resist goondagiri in our society. Armed forces build character. We need not be too negative and pessimistic all the time. Great start

OMG, we are speading all our defence money on comfort ... not good. Something that is almost destroying Pakistani Army. More automation is needed, more technology, more drones, robots and androids.

@ayaskpandey no it doesn't mean that. But if a young man is ready to sacrifice his life to ensure others can live peacefully, it means something. Knowing is loving. Whereas if a young boy only study and study to top the class, good marks for himself, best college for himself, best jobs for himself, best country to work and settledown...

It is possibly another way of arming our citizenry, at least some sort of alternative to conscription. slowly for surely. Good for us. It will be good for societal defense, against the possible futures aggression from China and Pakistan. Maybe, we should increase this intake from 46k to at least 100k every year, particularly when our traditional soldiers are getting more complacent and family oriented.
