  1. Humm...world wide, the UN recommendations is teaching through mother's tongue only. This idea is not new. Check with Pakistan...people there are fighting for local state language as the medium of instruction...too high a drop out rates with an alien Language

The fundamental problem with this analysis and other such is the understanding that the goal of education is to produce workers, trained workers, how will only seek jobs once out of the schools and colleges. Once you think differently, say the goal is to produce entrepreneurs - the equation changes completely.
