So around a dozen seats in 2024 Parliamentary Election, from 543 Parliamentary seats. . Bad for Indian democracy I guess. Local Gunda party from Bengal - TMC may have higher number than INC. . The solution is to only allow national parties and prevent regional parties (all essentially family mafiaso) from contesting Parliamentary Elections. . National politics is beyond the psychology of all regional parties in any case. TMC, JU, DMK, BJD, Akalidal etc. . Then it would be a direct contest between INC and BJP. So, even with 400 seats for BJP, INC will be closed to 150. So, a slight miscalculation by the incumbent will change the government. . What is a national party? Significant voters base, say at least 20% in two or more states 😉 - from state assembly elections. So useless Independent candidates are out of Parliamentary elections by default.
