Idolatry - is the worship of an idol or a person "in place of God" - may be as an image, a statue, as an idea, as a creator of an idea, as the founder of an ideology, a book!!! looks like the believers are degenerating into Idolatry - where The Prophet is even bigger and more important than Allah himself. The Prophet, if alive, would be wondering....and so is these Allamas and Khamenei etc ;-)

Our Prof should be careful - he is getting into difficult territories. But Prof, Islam==Islamic==Islamism - where is the difference? - the source of all such ideologies comes from The Arabic Holy Book only...they are not from Marx or Stalin or Hitler or RSS...

Ghazi - A Ghazi is the instrument of the religion of Allah, a servant of God who purifies the earth from the filth of polytheism. . Shahid - It is a title of honour accorded to those who have embraced death in the cause of Islam (meaning while killing the infidels, polytheists and idolators) . And in "free" India - free of Turki and British imperialism - we have Ghaziabad, Ghazipur, Shahid Minar & Shahid Kapoor :-( . Well, Ochterlony Monument is better, any day 🙁

@uzmaiftekhar9649 the very moment you say that - "The Prophet was the best of men" - you are in the trap. You spend the rest of your life defending your statement. Prophets are irrelevant - what is important - if at all - is the messages, that people "believe" came from God. Stay focus on God - all this violence will go, all this hypersensitivity will go. You cannot ridicule God - a universal Idea, but people can always find fault with any man. Break the trap.

@maquacr7014 What you just said is NOT there in Quran. Looks like you take books written by people, 10s of generations after The Prophet's death, 1000s of km away, people who had never met or seen The Prophet or his companions. Fables. The Commandments ends with the Quran. All other Books are Haram. Take the case of the most authentic Hadiths by Sahih Al Bukhari - possibly a Turki, born 4000 km away from Saudi Macca, Persian speaking, born 200 years after The Prophet's Death. May Allah bless you. And Quran, the original words may be The Prophet's - But did he asked people to write it into A Book? Was He the editor to verify the written material? Within the 20-30 years all his original accompanied were killed. There are at least 30 different Qirat (version) of the Arabic Quran - and they differ in content...not to mention the absence of vowels and limited symbols for consonants of primitive Arabic script. SO - don't believe in the Quran literally - take it with a pinch of salt. It is not certified by The Prophet - your belief is essentially hijacked and modulated by various editors down the centuries. The latest Hafs Quran - was edited/compiled by Egyptian professors as late as 1925. And certified by Suadi's - the custodian of the Hoy Cities - in 1985. Believe in God, and love all His manifestations and creations. Loving a man, a book, an ideology, a place of worship, a city - is idolatry.

@altamonte2110 A typical example worshipping an idol - a man, The Imams. Islam is idolatry only. People worship The Prophet, The Book, The Imams, The City and possibly even the language - Arabic - more than God itself. God is almost incidental.

@maquacr7014 Which ones did Uthman burn? So He was the editor?? The 1985 version is from Kufa, Iraq - 2000km away from Saudi Macca! - And close to 4000km if it is via Damascus and avoiding the desert

@maquacr7014 there is NO manuscript support for the claim - and that goes back to 7th century. There are at least two dozen modern versions of the Arabic Quran in the world - with thousands of differences. Have to seen them. They are available. What you are trying to do is idolatry - worshipping a Book....and missing the Forest for the Trees. You are not able to read what The Prophet said. The Book is irrelevant, the literal Book. The overall content is important. His overall message is important. Not the spelling or grammar of a written Book. Note original Arabic script had only 8 unique symbols for consonants and no vowels. They were added much later. The dots. during the Abbasid time. Of course, unfortunately, the Mongols (Hulagu Khan) burned the famed library in Baghdad to ashes. And then and Turks (Taimur) repeated it. I guess all history is lost - thanks to Turks and Mongols

@maquacr7014 unfortunately at the lower end of the Carbon-14 dating, it goes before The Prophet was born...and only a couple of pages, of Jewish history - non of the commandments from The Prophet.

@maquacr7014 See, you are obsessed with a Book that was not there at the time of The Prophet. The letters, the words, the sentences. Not Allah, but the Book, written and copied by 100s of men throughout generations in the last 1400 years is more important to you. Think about it, This is idolatry. And this is against the fundamental spirit of Islam. Love Allah (God) - connect to Him - everything else is idolatry. And Allah is nobody's personal property - the universal and supreme consciousness - cannot be ridiculed, cannot be made fun of - cannot be shamed, cannot be praised - it is beyond us.
