Less than 40 seats would be my guess for Rahul led INC. Regional parties would do much better I think. But not TMC. The next one would be the beginning of the end of the mafia called TMC.

Master Rahul, an overgrown adolescent is good for India I guess. So long as he is there, people have clarity who should lead the country. His sister may still work with Indian rural masses. But she doesn't have the fire for a total war I guess.

@kaustavisi also I think CPIM would be reduce to less than 1% in WB. All the votes will go towards BJP. All are refugees anyway. Victim of religious politics and now that Miss Mamata is playing the Muslim card...an ideology that made them refugees at the first place.

@varunmittal3617 unlike most other Indian state, Bengal was reduced to size by 70% because of religion. 70% of Bengal went to East Pakistan. Whereas the population distribution was 51% and 49% in favor of the believers at the time of partition and independence. Producing millions of refugee families and land less families - all Hindus. And unlike Punjab, nobody left western Bengal to East Pakistan except diehard Urdu speaking Bihari believers from Bihar. If you query the majority of CPI(M) supporters...all essentially refugees...they are afraid in their core of consciousness. They thought religion and religious identities are the issue. So they choose a pseudo communist party like CPIM. Like an ostrich putting its head in a hole when chased by a lion...thinking that their problem will just vanish. Certified cow people I guess. You have to confront the problem, face it. Solve it. Not to pass it unresolved to the next generation. They are natural voters for Hindu Mahasabha and therefore BJP. But BJP thinks Sanskritized Urdu is Indian national language. It is not. And there lies Bengal problem is accepting a confused party and its world view. Language is to sacrosanct in Bengal. BJP just have to overcome this image. Then it is done. Then the Gujarati problem. The last time they trusted a Gujarati baniya...they were completely fooled. But it is recovering. After all Indian Nationalism started in Bengal with Bengal Raneissance. Where the Arabic ideology has no place in it. Actually Bengal is the most fundamentalist Hindutva state in India. It is subtle.
