As a cricketer, Imran Khan was an extraordinary player and leader of men. We all loved him see in action...whether bowling or batting. Surely he is the tallest cricketer from the subcontinent. Whereas India has mostly produced goody goody mil drinking school boys...until recently. Such man cannot be dim, reckless surely. Of course he wants the captain's chair, but at what cost is the question. Maybe he will free the Pakistani people from the colonization and loot of the Pakistani Army. All the best for him. He is an extraordinary man.

@shankares388 well, the same reason women will select Alexander the Conqueror over brainy Manmohan Singh. And women are the best filter of the right men...biology and genetics perhaps 😉 And Kapil Dev, the dim witted farmer...who cries on live TV. Had he had more gray matters, his batting average would 10 points higher. It was only with 2001 we are seeing some change in attitude in the Indian cricketers. Sachin Tendulkar for example was completely milk drinking milk biscuits eating school boy...who never grew up...in spite of his enormous God gifted skills.

@shankares388 yes...he is playing with lowly madrassa educated Pakistanis. With dumb answers on simple questions. But he remains leader of men nevertheless. Dr Mahmohan Singh, the intellectual, could not win even a local municipality election...such was his capability or the wisdom of Indian electorate.

@seculardharma just by luck. One bad day for viv richards and gang. Victory for 36 runs in 60 over team. WI immediately afterwards toured India and shown us our place. Again, from 2000 it began to change. Before our team looked like govt employees playing cards.

Well, all freedom fighters are possibly dim witted....else they would spend their lives on something the ordinary do...careers, corporate positions.
