  2. Actually, in a liberal society, all sorts of relationships between adults citizens must be acceptable. State has no business interfaring in sexual and living choice of the citizens. In a republic, the state should be chained, not the other way around, not the citizens. We are not a republic but a semi communist dictatorial state. But laws, civil or criminal, should be uniform for all adult citizens - generally guided by fundamental human rights only. No discrimination w.r.t gender, place of birth, race, ethnicity, caste, class, language, height, weight, profession, superstitions, faith and religion - any real or imaginary differences between citizens. Period. Clearly India is not a Republic.

  3. Looks like SG you are ridiculing the idea of civil and criminal laws that is independent of communal aggregations. It is not personal laws. It is CiViL laws, involving two or more Indian citizens. Religion is a personal and private superstition people follow in their personal space.

  4. We are a Muslim obsessed people. Even SG. And Pakistan as well. Maybe because of 600 years of Turki rule did this to us Indians. Time to more away from these two obsession and move to more meaningful things.
