  1. Manufacturing is still the key. Everything that we use is manufactured somewhere by somebody. Without the attitude and foundation of engineering, we will always import our defence equipment for example, and stay behind the curve. Creating new things is civilization, not services. Germany is a nice example of quality manufacturing - engineering, machines, chemicals, drugs plus services also. If allowed, if they can free themselves from the ww2 guilt, they will rule the entire world, not some service-driven coolie countries.

  2. mass scale immigration is a scary thing. Nordic countries are realizing the consequences of allowing strange people with stranger cultures migrating into their countries and creating problems there. France too.
